Welcome back all you San Francisco Day Schoolers! We have had a very productive summer in our facilities department: fixing up the school, adjusting our procedures, and refining our policies. A number of the changes are obvious and some are not. Below I will review our new policy changes and share some of the summer highlights.

This summer at Art Forts we built the Land of Fortutophia. Fortutophia consisted of six adult artists and 30 young artists. In five days these artists designed and built forts, made of wood, fabric, and found objects. These forts resembled creatures, shoes, radio stations, robots, waves, cars, tents, and a gigantic piece of cheese to name a few!!

Over the summer, the athletic department attended a coaching seminar presented by Joe Ehrmann of InSideOut Coaching. Joe is a renowned coach, a former NFL defensive lineman and a genuine man who cares about coaches and the important role they play in athletes’ lives. A very inspirational and motivating speaker, Joe’s workshop was designed to help coaches understand the reasons behind their coaching philosophies.
