Eighth Graders Visit Puerto Rico

Eighth Graders Visit Puerto Rico

By the time students reach their final year at San Francisco Day School, they have been exposed to a wide range of community service-oriented experiences. They have served food at Glide Church, planted seedlings in the Presidio and swapped stories with seniors at Canon Kip Senior Center. In eighth grade, students have the unique opportunity to take their service learning to another level – by immersing themselves in a week-long program designed to provide service with and not just for communities outside of our own.
