This is the 11th year SFDS has offered a summer soccer camp program. Camp Director Steve Roberts is a nationally licensed soccer coach and former NCAA Division 1 National Champion. Other staff will include the Roberts brothers, Peter and Luke, who are both USSF A licensed coaches, local high school coaches, and former SFDS players.
The camp will focus on the fundamental skills of the game, teamwork, rules of the game, and some relevant tactics. Each day will conclude with small sided games where participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate newly acquired skills in game situations.
The philosophy of the camp is one that mirrors the San Francisco Day School Afterschool Sports Program, where each child is challenged to improve his/her skill level while enjoying all that the game has to offer.
