We are excited to kick off what we know will be another great year for the San Francisco Day School’s 2010-2011 Annual Fund. We hope you will help us reach our goal of $1.1 million and 100% parent participation.
Annual Fund packages were mailed to current families in early October. Three weeks later, 23 enthusiastic parent volunteers convened at school for the annual phonathon. Led by co-chairs, Chris Barber, Claudia Lewis and Topher Solmssen, class captains and their team of callers phoned fellow parents to catch up after the summer and secure pledges to this year’s campaign, each hoping to be the first class to have a pledge from every family.
Thanks to the continued generosity of our community, we have already raised more than $360,000 from 35% of our parent body. We are one-third of the way toward this year’s goals.
As the first class to reach 100% participation in last year’s Annual Fund, the class of 2015 won a lovely party at Phyllis and David Jackson’s new home in Mill Valley. It was a perfect Bay Area evening as guests celebrated together in the garden over Latin-inspired food and drinks.
As an incentive to encourage every family to pledge early again, the co-chairs announced that the first class to reach 100% participation this year will win the party of their choice. Will it be a festive BBQ? A cocktail party? Bowling? With kids? Or without? You can help decide. Make your pledge today!
SFDS faculty and staff are already closing in on 100% participation. Creative faculty co-chairs, Aaron Brill and Lindsay Anderson, inspired their colleagues to contribute with an animated film. Almost every employee – from maintenance crew to teachers to administration – has stepped up to support our School with a gift.
Help us make this a banner year with a pledge to the 2010-2011 Annual Fund today.
