To San Francisco Day School families,As was announced in last Friday’s “Week Ahead”, I am organizing a Yoplait yogurt pink lid collection which will benefit medical research for breast cancer research. Yoplait will donate 10 cents per pink lid to Avon with funds designated for cancer research. Avon has provided funds for a Mammography Center at San Francisco General Hospital providing diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer in an underserved population There are a number of families at SFDS affected by cancer in their family members. My mom’s sister has stage IV ovarian cancer diagnosed 3 years ago and remarkably she is in remission thanks to a clinical med research trial at UCSF Medical Center.
Thanks very much for your help with this project. If your family eats Yoplait yogurt, please save (and wash) the pink lids and drop them off in the collection box in the Golden Gate entry.
