Student Congress Raises Fund for Haiti

Student Life Committee
Student Congress

The student congress has been working on many things over the past few weeks to help in the Haiti relief effort. At Concert for Community, we raised $237. All of our donations to Haiti are going to the Sirona Cares Foundation, which provides money, health care, and homes for children who have lost their parents in Haiti. In order to continue helping Haiti, we set up an ongoing recycling drive to raise money. We also have two donation boxes in our school located at the Masonic and Golden Gate lobbies. In addition, we are planning a bake-off (the date will be decided soon.) Participating students will bake a cake and judges at school will pay to taste the cakes and choose a winner. One hundred percent of the money raised at the bake-off will go to the Sirona Cares Foundation. On Grandparents and Special Friends Day, March 12, we will sell school merchandise. Every Friday at our upper-school assemblies, we continue to educate the rest of the upper school on our actions to help Haiti.

Thank you, and please donate!
