From the 12th to the 21st century, dominoes have been used around the world. Once a popular game, dominoes present a visual number investigation for first graders. They comprise a set, a suit and a symbol. Using observation, matching, comparing and counting, students have been developing their problem solving skills. In this photo, students have uncovered the triangular pattern resulting from ordering one set of dominoes and the “pyramid” using two sets of dominoes.
